Enjoy a spring boating day and stop by Phillippi Creek for a great meal

Are you a boating buff? Do you like spending time relaxing on the water? If you enjoy paddling your kayak on a warm summer afternoon, casting your line from your boat, or just getting back to nature, then Sarasota has just what you are looking for.
For canoeing and kayaking, check out the Sarasota Bay trail which runs from Northwestern Sarasota County to downtown Sarasota. There are four access points: Overlook Park, Island Park/Bayfront Park, Centennial Park and Ken Thompson Park. There is something here for every boating or water enthusiast.
Somewhat longer trips include Island Park to Causeway Park, a two-mile loop, and South Lido Park to Bird Key Park or City Island. This journey is four to six miles depending on the route.
After your long day on the water, you will be ready to dine on some tasty Florida cuisine. Round up the kids and dogs, stow your gear and head to Phillippi Creek Village Restaurant and Oyster Bar. You’ll dine in a lovely tropical setting with your choice of indoor or outdoor waterfront seating.
You will be cheerfully served up some of the finest seafood around prepared just you way you like it, fried, baked, steamed, and of course, raw. You will delight at the broad variety of flavors to be found at Phillippi, from spicy Cajun seafood gumbo to New England clam chowder. For the land lovers, they also offer succulent charbroiled steaks.
You deserve a great meal at an affordable price, so make Phillippi’s your go-to spot for good eats.
